Add crew and set your watch

The crew pages answer the only question that matters at 0300: whose problem is this. A roster that knows whose passport is missing, watch teams you can see at a glance, and a rotation nobody has to argue about.

Add your crew

1. Go to Crew → Add crew.
2. Name and role are required. Add an invite email and they get their own login to the vessel — see Crew seats, roles, and invites for what each role can do.
3. The roster tracks the boring critical things: safety briefings, documents, and who is actually aboard right now.

Pick a watch system

1. On the Crew page, choose a watch system: 6 and 6, 4 and 4, Swedish, traditional dog watches, or roll your own.
2. Watch teams are created automatically for the system you pick.

Build the rotation

1. Drag crew into their teams.
2. The 24-hour bar shows who has the deck, every hour, in boat time or UTC. Handover times stop being a debate.

Watch shifts run against the active passage while it's Underway, so the rotation, the log, and the shore briefs all agree on who had the deck when.
