WatchKeeper accounts are email-based. There are no Google or Microsoft buttons — if you used one of those before mid-2026, request a magic link to the same email address and you'll land in the same account.
Create the account
- Go to app.watchkeeper.me/login.
- Pick one of the three ways in:
- Magic link (default) — enter your email, we send a one-tap sign-in link. No password to remember.
- Sign in with password — if you've already set one.
- Create account — email + password, then a verification email, and a checkbox for the Terms, Privacy, and Safety notice.
- Open the verification or magic-link email and tap the link. Check spam if it hasn't arrived in a couple of minutes.
Sign-in needs a working connection. Once you're in, the app keeps working offline — so sign in before you leave the dock, not after.
Set up your first vessel
Right after your first sign-in you'll be taken to vessel setup — the app needs a boat before anything else makes sense.
- Enter the vessel name (the only required field).
- Add call sign, MMSI, and home port if you have them — they appear on exports and ship's papers later, but you can fill them in any time.
- Save. You'll land on the Dashboard with a welcome checklist pointing at the usual next steps: plan a passage, invite crew, add emergency contacts.
What plan am I on?
New accounts start on Coastal, which is free: 1 vessel, 4 crew seats, 1 active passage, your last 30 days of logs. See Plans and pricing for what Offshore and Bluewater add, or try Offshore free for 14 days.
If something goes sideways
- No verification email — check spam, then try the magic-link option; it uses the same address.
- "Used Google before" confusion — magic link to the same Gmail address reaches the same account and data.
- Still stuck? Write to us — include the email address you signed up with.
